Cirque de Rock

Tanya Escaler-Rivierre’s little boy, Rock, celebrated his 1st birthday with a circus-themed carnival of a party last October 7, 2012. Complete with jugglers and acrobats, mommy Tanya made sure every detail was carried out with flair!

Cirque De Rock was such a magical day filled with so much fun and laughter, spent with family and friends.

It’s always been a dream of mine to have a circus for a day, and I enjoyed creating every detail of Cirque de Rock myself. I designed the invitations that came with an “Admit One” Ticket Stub, and my husband took the photograph of Rock the Ringmaster.  The circus had entertainers from amazing acrobats to jolly jugglers. There was a balloon maker, a stilt walker, and of course the circus animals — 2 elephants, a zebra, 2 horses – walking animals for the kids to ride on.

I love attention to detail, and for the table centerpiece, I painted all the circus animals gold and placed them on red star boxes surrounded by bowls of candy and party trumpets. The circus tent was all lit up with the Cirque de Rock marquee with the birthday cake inside of it surrounded by all the wonderful gifts, all the backdrop to the yellow and red star circus stage, with a ring of star boxes to keep the circus animals inside, and on the circus grounds are the game booths and prize booths.

Step right up kids and adults alike, play a game and win a prize!

My husband and I spent one afternoon painting the game booths, a clown ball toss and a star ring toss with a spin a prize. The prizes ranged from animal sunglasses and clown noise makers, giant bubble wands and mini magic pens to kiddie fans and kiddie stools, and the grand prize were 3 giant stuffed animals and 3 live white rabbits!

Rock had so many wonderful gifts, but the best gift of all was that his mamita came all the way from Paris to celebrate with him!!]
