Mom App-roved: Fun Apps That Kids Will Love
One of our mom-readers responded to a tweet we sent out the other day:
She emailed us with an awesome list of recommended apps! Here’s what she wrote.
“My son is now 7, and proud to be a grade schooler, but we still use many of the apps I got for him when he was still in preschool. Generally, I prefer that he plays games that allow him to think than passively watching TV. Though, of course, there are exceptions.
“While I recommend these apps, I also recommend that kids are still guided/monitored, especially preschooleres. (I even use a timer to make sure my child doesn’t OD on gadget time.) My rule of thumb in app selection is: try the game/app before letting your kid use it.
“Here are a few of our favorites. Most of them are games, because I do believe that kids should play!”
