A New Beginning for progressive mums
Motherhood is one of the best things that can happen in a woman’s life. It is a defining moment that undoubtedly changes a woman’s perspective and outlook on herself and her life.
For nine months, she carries with her a new life that signifies a new beginning. During this journey, it is crucial that women get all the support they need for this special time and have access to invaluable information to make the experience less overwhelming and intimidating.
With this in mind, New Beginnings community (NBC) was formed to provide Filipino mothers an unforgettable and meaningful journey towards motherhood. It is a community of “progressive” mothers who view pregnancy in a whole new light.

Organized by FrieslandCampina, a global leader in nutritionally safe dairy products, NBC believes that the voyage through motherhood can be more fruitful and worry-free when shared in the company of other mums who have the same experience. The community embraces all mums, and provides them with guidance and support throughout their pregnancy.
The NBC was recently launched during a cozy media lunch at Slice Restaurant in Fort Bonifacio. Gracing the affair were several progressive mums in various stages of motherhood including: first time mum-to-be and one of the country’s most sought after young designers Rosanna Ocampo-Rodriguez; new mum to two month-old Olivia Andrea de Guzman-Mago; popular mummy blogger and entrepreneur Kris de Guzman; Kira Plastinina boutique owner Keri Neri-Zamora; and TV personality Lexi Schulze.

The event featured a casual forum, facilitated by life coach Pia Acevedo of the Love Institute, wherein the mums exchanged their personal ideas and experiences on progressive motherhood. “When you talk about progressive motherhood, you are talking about mothers who want to make the most out of their journey both as a mother and as an individual that has a need for self-actualization,” says Coach Pia. NBC takes pregnancy to a higher plane by providing progressive mums with a community where they can grow with fellow mothers.
